News / Video goes viral
A COMIC video promoting Shetland on YouTube has gone viral with more than 15,000 views worldwide in its first two days.
Marketing body Promote Shetland commissioned the 11 minute film ‘An A-Z of Shetland’ for its 60 North TV YouTube channel.
The short film features local musician and music development officer Bryan Peterson making a humorous jaunt through his native isles using the alphabet as his guide, starting with A for airports and ending with Z for Zetland.
Promote Shetland’s Andy Stevens said: “It is aimed primarily at people who might be thinking of moving to Shetland and the idea was to both provide factual information and a real flavour of what Shetland is like, communicated with some of the islands’ native humour.”
The film was produced by DJ Film and Sound, which is run by local lensman Dave Donaldson and musician and designer JJ Jamieson.
