Mindless and wanton vandalism

And just to add injury to insult, the Scalloway swimming pool is now guarded by a flimsy metal fence, presumably an insurance requirement to safeguard the building from the mindless and wanton vandalism that the people of Shetland, notably the people of Scalloway, are notorious for.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get an opportunity to speak to the insurance agents, for I would have informed them that the mindless and wanton vandalism had already occurred, and that the guilty perpetrators had scurried home to their secure and impenetrable lair in Lerwick.

Councillor for Shetland Central
