NorthLink warns of potential ferry disruption

Rolling, rolling, rolling. Passengers feared the NorthLink ferry was going to capsize on Wednesday night before the captain regained control of the vessel with 500 passengers on board.

NORTHLINK has warned of potential disruption to ferry services later this week.

Both freight sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay are under review for Wednesday night, with a further update to follow on Tuesday morning.

The ferry operator said that there was the possibility of disruption from Wednesday 11 to Friday 13 March.

The Met Office is predicting gusts of up to 55mph on Thursday.
