Letters / Both statements cannot be true

The Shetland Recreational Trust has stated that it “regularly and repeatedly briefed” the SIC concerning its dire financial situation.

The SIC has denied that it was “regularly and repeatedly briefed” by the SRT concerning its financial outlook.

Now … both statements cannot be true.

I’m sure the good people of Scalloway, and for that matter anyone with any concern, will be keen to know the truth.

Councillor Ian Scott
Shetland Central ward
