BRITISH comedy legends Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse have been in Shetland filming for their award-winning series Gone Fishing.

Among the locations was the Minn beach in Burra, where the pair plus crew were seen filming on Wednesday.

The popular BBC series, which was first broadcast in 2018, sees Mortimer and Whitehouse go on fishing trips around the UK.

Set against the background of the pair having had prior heart issues, the show has been praised for its warm humour and gentle nature, with a reviewer once calling it “one of the most therapeutic and relaxing [programmes] on television”.

The show has won several Broadcasting Press Guild awards and has been nominated at the BAFTAs and the Royal Television Society awards.

Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing has run for seven series to date, with an eighth commissioned.
