Police / Two men taken to hospital after Quarff road accident
TWO men were taken to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick for treatment after a one-vehicle road accident in Quarff last night (Tuesday).
A spokesperson for the police said both were aged 19. The A970 in Quarff was closed before being reopened around five hours later.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 8.15pm on Tuesday, 10 January, to a report of a one car crash on the A970 at Quarff.
“Emergency services attended and two men, both aged 19, were taken to the Gilbert Bain hospital for treatment.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 1.20am on Wednesday, 11 January.”
