Best in show selected as horse and pony event returns
THE SHETLAND horse and pony event was held over the past two weekends, at Cunningsburgh and Bigton.
The games day was held at the Cunningsburgh Show ground on Sunday 30 August and the showing classes were held at Bigton Farm, by kind permission of the Budge family, on Saturday 5 September.
Both days’ points were carried forward and both weekends involved junior and seniors.
Judges Jacqueline Strathdee and Harriet Kilgour-Manston travelled from the mainland for the showing classes.
The organisers thanked all the entrants, judges, hosts, helpers, class sponsors and event sponsor J.F Courier & Removals UK for making it the event it is.
