Transport / Yell Sound ferry disruption to continue
THE YELL Sound ferry will run with a single vessel for another two days following a fault with the Dagalien’s control system.
The service has been restricted to a single vessel today (Tuesday).
But the single vessel shift timetable is due to be in place again on Wednesday and Thursday as the Dagalien awaits a specialist engineer to assess the problem.
The crew will put in extra runs where there is a build up of traffic. Shetland Islands Council apologises for the inconvenience caused.
It is more disruption for Yell Sound after crew sickness and staff shortages affected services last month.
