Transport / Single vessel service on Bluemull Sound through to Friday
THE BLUEMULL Sound ferry service will run with a single vessel to a Saturday timetable from Tuesday to Friday due to ongoing crew sickness issues.
All bookings between 6.10am and 5.35pm from Tuesday to Friday are suspended.
Shetland Islands Council said it will issue a further update on Friday. It said it apologises for the inconvenience caused.
Management is grappling with a mix of staff absence and vacancies, especially in Bluemull and Yell Sound.
