Transport / Covid isolation causes further disruption to Yell ferry
COVID isolation requirements are again affecting the Yell Sound ferry service.
On Thursday and Friday the service will operate to a shift timetable, with bookings suspended.
On Saturday the last run will be 8.15pm from Toft, and on Sunday the first run will be the 7.05am from Ulsta, with the last leaving Toft at 8.15pm.
Shetland Islands Council said it apologises for any inconvenience caused. Information can be found on the voicebank service on 01595 743972.
Last week there were two occasions where the Yell ferry ran with a single vessel due to Covid isolation.
Prior to that issues with a linkspan last month and a fault to equipment on the ferry Dagalien caused disruption on the route.
