Community / Second message in bottle from Norway found washed up within a week
ANOTHER message in a bottle from Norway has been found on a Shetland beach – just days after one was discovered at Spiggie.
Cheryl Mackenzie and her family came across the bottle, which appears to have come from a child in Bergen, below their house at Neap in North Nesting on Thursday (28 May).
In a strange coincidence a message in a bottle from children in Ølberg, which is near Stavanger, was found at the Peerie Spiggie beach last Monday (25 May)
The latest message appears to have come from a girl called Leah, who is set to receive a letter in return from the Mackenzies.
However, it appears the bottle took around one year to arrive in Shetland and be found as the letter was dated May 2019.
