POLICE are looking for witnesses after an aerosol can was set alight outside the front door of a home in Lerwick, causing it to explode.
The incident took place at around 10.40pm on Friday (20 March) in Sandveien.
After the aerosol exploded, an item of clothing caught fire on the public footpath outside the house which caused a garden bush to go on fire.
Police said it was a “traumatising incident for the resident involved”.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
