Police / Two charged over cake fridge thefts
POLICE have confirmed that two men have been arrested and charged in connection with thefts from a cake fridge in Lerwick.
Reports will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and further inquiries are ongoing.
Police said the men are aged 23 and 26.
It relates to a newly opened cake fridge on Lerwick’s St Olaf St called Something Sweet.
The business said on its Facebook page recently that incidents had been captured on CCTV.
The cake fridge, which opened in September, is open between 9am and 9pm and it works on an honesty basis.
