POLICE have launched an investigation after graffiti was written on the wall of the Shetland Islands Council headquarters at North Ness in Lerwick over the weekend.

The vandalism of the building known locally as the ‘White House’ occurred between 5pm on Friday and 9am on Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively, people can attend Lerwick Police Station, quoting NL1672/18.
