Remanded on assault charge

A TWENTY four year old man appeared from custody in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Friday on a petition alleging assault.

Trevor Couper, of Lerwick, made no plea and was committed for further examination.

He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear in court next week.
