Memorial website launched to celebrate Jonni Manson
THE FAMILY of the late Jonni Manson have launched a digital memorial website to him to mark his 40th birthday.
The site, which you can find here, is a digital memorial and interactive scrapbook designed to raise awareness of men’s mental health and celebrate Jonni’s life and his deep love for his family and friends.
The website went live today (Saturday) at 12pm.
The Manson family is extending an open invitation to the Shetland community – including local businesses, friends, and local and global fitness and strongman communities – to visit the site and contribute their own stories, funny moments, and photographs.
The goal of the project is to build awareness of men’s mental health and to build a lasting, community-sourced digital scrapbook that will be safely preserved offline and given to Jonni’s children to cherish as they grow up.
It features a memory board, an interactive photo gallery and a downloadable app which uses soothing audio frequencies and visual haptics to help users ground themselves with interactive coping tools.
The app features include “The Grey Rock” for shattering and letting go of heavy thoughts, and “The Gold Safe” for storing moments of gratitude as a lingering whirlwind of light.
The Manson family said: “We would be honoured if you would help us raise awareness and openness of men’s mental health within the community and build a beautiful collection of stories and moments for Jonni’s children to cherish as they grow up”.
