News / Ferries disrupted again
PASSENGERS on Thursday’s NorthLink ferry sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick are facing a trip lasting nearly 20 hours as a result of anticipated poor weather.
The Hrossey will leave Aberdeen at its scheduled time of 5pm, but it will only arrive in Lerwick at 12.30pm on Friday because of forecast strong winds.
The vessel will no longer call at Kirkwall as previously planned.
Both northbound and southbound freight sailings have also been cancelled. The Helliar and Hildasay will make their next journeys on Friday evening.
