News / Ferries now cancelled
SUNDAY night’s north and southbound ferries have now been cancelled as Shetland prepares for yet another spell of storm force winds.
Serco NorthLink said that Monday night’s sailing of the Hrossey between Lerwick and Aberdeen was now also under review.
Meanwhile the Hjaltland, heading north on Monday night, is likely to be late two hours late in arriving on Lerwick’s Up Helly Aa day.
Saturday night’s sailings are unaffected by this and will go ahead as scheduled.

The passenger ferry Hjaltland will be out of service as of 1 February for its scheduled maintenance.
On her return on 19 February she will sport a new livery, all white and the NorthLink Viking showing the way. Her sister vessel Hamnavoe, operating on the Pentland Firth service, returned to service with new paintwork earlier in the week.
