Letters / Sad to see it go
I was sorry to hear that the Clickimin campsite is to be replaced by the new high school.
I have fond memories of camping there during the 2003 Shetland Folk Festival. T
he cost was very reasonable, the facilities basic but adequate, and best of all, it was only a 10 minute walk from the activities at the Islesburgh Centre.
The hostel next door is closer, but they frown on people dragging themselves to bed when everyone else is getting up.
I hope the campsite will be replaced by a similar facility, with a similar level of convenience.
I want to go back to the Folk Festival some day, and being able to camp close to the action would be perfect.
