News / New Friday night service to Edinburgh
LOGANAIR is adding a late night service on Fridays between Shetland and Edinburgh, leaving Sumburgh at 7.50pm.
The extra flight was trialled last winter and proved so successful that it will now be a permanent addition to Loganair’s winter and summer timetables.
The airline’s chief operating officer Jonathan Hinkles said: “We recognise that Loganair provides a series of lifeline services for the people of Shetland and at present we have 18 flights each weekday linking Sumburgh with Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Kirkwall.
“By adding this later flight on a Friday, people are able to travel easily to the capital after work and travel back on flights over the weekend without having to use up any annual leave.”
