SIC buys SLAP portfolio in ‘landmark deal’

SHETLAND Islands Council (SIC) has taken ownership of a wide range of assets including its North Ness headquarters and Shetland College after striking a deal with Shetland Leasing and Property Developments Limited (SLAP) worth just under £17.5 million.

SIC reaches next stage of Crown Estate pilot

SHETLAND Islands Council (SIC) is one of five organisations that have moved to the second stage of a pilot scheme which could give the local authority more control over how seabed and coastline around the isles is managed.
