Letters / Incessant noise

I can understand (a bit) the concerns of the parent council at Dunrossness, but I feel that given the time scale involved it pales into insignificance with what the pupils at AHS have had to endure.

For what feels like two years or more they have had a rock breaking quarry on their doorstep.

The constant banging and disruption has continued non-stop even through exam periods when pupils have been sitting some of the most important exams of their lives.

I also feel sorry for the local residents having to put up with the incessant noise. Sadly, there seems to be no end in sight, and a brick has yet to be laid.
