Transport / Bluemull Sound ferry to reduce to single vessel
THE BLUEMULL Sound ferry service will operate with a single vessel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week due to crew sickness, with all bookings suspended.
The Saturday timetable will be in place during these days.
Meanwhile after the council initially saying Yell Sound would be single vessel this week due to crew shortages, ferry services on that route will run to the normal timetable this week.
However until Saturday 14 October there will be no late bookings, and the last run will be 10pm from Toft to Ulsta.
Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience to passengers.
Strong winds are also expected midweek which may cause some disruption to sailings.
