Energy / Viking Energy seen from space in new image
A NEW interactive image of Shetland from space has been released – and it highlights the progress of the Viking Energy wind farm work.
The European Space Agency image was taken on 1 July.
People can zoom into the image on the agency website here, while a video is also available.
It shows the tracks made for the Viking Energy wind farm, which is under construction.
The image also highlights the level of algal bloom around the isles this summer – something which was previously raised by the SaxaVord Spaceport team.
