Coronavirus / No new Covid-19 cases for almost a month
NHS SHETLAND quickly moved this afternoon (Thursday) to reassure islanders that no new Covid-19 case has been registered in the isles despite one appearing in the latest update of the Scottish Government statistics.
A spokeswoman for the health board said the case had been allocated to Shetland incorrectly and would be removed from the statistics at the next daily update. “There is no new case in Shetland”, she said.
Shetland hasn’t had a confirmed Covid-19 case for almost a month now with the latest case recorded on 9 February.
A total of 500 new cases were recorded in Scotland over the last 24 hours, 2.5 per cent of the 24,723 tests carried out.
