Transport / Dagalien develops fault

THE FERRY service to and from Yell is running at reduced capacity after the Dagalien developed a technical fault.

Engineers boarded the vessel on Wednesday morning in an attempt to solve the problem, with relates to an electrical fault with the vessel’s thruster control system.

The Fivla and Daggri continue to operate Yell Sound ferry services to the published timetable, although bookings are currently suspended.

Shetland Islands Council said it would like to apologise for the disruption and inconvenience.
