Transport / Ferry sailings succumb to strong winds

TONIGHT’s (Monday) ferry sailings to and from Shetland have been cancelled due to the weather.

The confirmation comes after NorthLink Ferries had initially announced the cancellations on Sunday morning before a change in weather forecasts prompted a quick U-turn.

In addition to the northbound and southbound passenger ferries being cancelled, Monday’s freight sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen has also been shelved.
