During a highly successful swimming competition which ended on Thursday night, Shetland swimmer Amy Harper won her fifth medal of the games when she was second in the women’s 100 metres freestyle. She narrowly missed out on a sixth medal when she came in fourth in the 50 metres backstroke.

And Brae swimmer Felix Gifford won a much deserved bronze medal in the 400 metres freestyle, also on Thursday.
