Letters / Independence demand still there

Oh, how the naivety of the No voters has cast Scotland ever greater into the cesspit of Westminster greed and lies.

Within hours of the disastrous vote it was clear the hysterical last minute antics of the failed political dinosaurs of the Westminster elite were nothing more than what enlightened people within the supporters of independence expected.

So supporters of corrupt and greedy English Home Counties ruling elite have resulted in a period of time (until the next general election) of political treachery, broken promises and renewed anger, particularly within the camp of the duped No voters.

With the independence debate grows even more vigorously in the weeks and months ahead, Alex Salmond’s resignation as well as the ensuing inevitable frustration looming, it’s time for us to focus on the main issue in all this; and it has nothing to do with the SNP.

HMS Great Britain has crashed onto the political and social rocks on a course set by the evil Margaret Thatcher, continued by Tony Blair and his lackey Gordon Brown, the most incompetent PM in living memory, and all the other political leaders and their parties that are now so close in their ideology that there is almost nothing to choose between them.

The Conservatives are an alien species in Scotland and have no relevance other than their nasty legacy. The Labour Party in England is run by public school educated wealthy men and completely out of touch with all but their inner selves, ditto the Liberal Democrats who have turned themselves into political prostitutes and are now finished for many years.

The Yes vote would have given the more ethical Scottish Labour Party and Scottish Liberals a chance to distance themselves from their failed English colleagues and develop a much better and fairer political system in Scotland, making it the envy of the former failed UK and beyond.

Sadly the No vote consigned those of us disenfranchised from the Labour Party and Liberal Democrats to the political wilderness with only the Greens and the SNP working towards a better, fairer system.

I feel sorry for the misguided No voters as they have not actually won anything, the independence demand is still there and by virtue of the impotent Westminster cabal, it will come back with vengeance and carry many No voters who will see that we cannot be better together if the core is rotten.

In all of life’s other areas you either amputate, cut or prune the rot and that is what Scottish Independence is all about, cutting us away from the rot.
