Tuesday NorthLink sailings cancelled

NORTHLINK has confirmed that its sailings to and from Shetland on Tuesday are now cancelled due to the weather.

It comes as the Met Office issues a yellow warning of wind for Scotland, including Shetland, from 3am to 9pm tomorrow.

Winds across Shetland are forecast to increase from the morning and during the working day on Tuesday, with frequent gusts over 60mph expected.

Tuesday’s northbound NorthLink sailing will leave Aberdeen but only go as far as Kirkwall, before heading back to Aberdeen at 11.45pm.

Sailings are going ahead today but the southbound trip will leave early at 4pm, while the northbound one will add in a Kirkwall stop.
