Transport / Freight sailings likely to be cancelled on Wednesday
NORTHLINK has said that Wednesday’s freight sailings are likely to be cancelled due to high winds.
The passenger sailing of the Hjaltland on Wednesday night is also set to be disrupted, with an early departure and likely late arrival.
She will now leave Lerwick at 4pm, with her arrival into Kirkwall expected to be affected by minor delays.
However her arrival into Aberdeen on Thursday morning may be delayed by up to two hours.
The freight sailings of the Helliar and Hildasay on Wednesday night are under review, with a “high probability of cancellation”, NorthLink said.
An update is to follow this afternoon (Tuesday).
Both of tonight’s freight sailings are also set to be delayed, with the Hildasay‘s arrival into Aberdeen tomorrow likely to be up to three hours late.
The Helliar is likely to be one hour late arriving into Lerwick tomorrow.
