News / Lifeboat assisting Peterhead trawler back to Lerwick
THE LERWICK lifeboat is assisting a Peterhead trawler and her crew back to Lerwick after she suffered problems on Saturday morning.
The Coastguard confirmed the lifeboat crew were assisting the Devotion back to Lerwick today (Saturday),with the call coming in for assistance shortly after 8am.
The Coastguard did not specify what had happened to the trawler, but said it had experienced “some problems” in the early hours between Fair Isle and Sumburgh.
The lifeboat is currently assisting the Devotion and her crew north to the town.
