THE BBC has released a first-look trailer for the new series of crime drama Shetland.

It comes ahead of the first episode of series ten airing on BBC One on Wednesday 5 November at 9pm.

The series will again see Ashley Jensen (DI Ruth Calder) team up with Alison O’Donnell (DI Alison ‘Tosh’ McIntosh), alongside other Shetland regulars and a guest cast.

Promotional material for the series said: “In the isolated hamlet of Lunniswick, the body of the retired social worker Eadie Tulloch has been out in the elements for a number of days.

“Suspecting the residents are holding back about their relationships with Eadie, Calder and Tosh begin to unravel a complicated web of lies.

“Worse still, there’s a personal link to the case for one of the team, testing loyalty to the limits.”
