News / Two people rescued from Scalloway harbour
TWO people have been recovered from the water in Scalloway harbour after an incident on Wednesday afternoon.
No-one was injured in the incident, with the coastguard saying it was currently unclear how they came to be in the water.
The Sumburgh search and rescue helicopter was called to the scene at around 3.10pm and was seen to be circling the water.
However the two people were rescued from the water by the crew of a boat instead.
The coastguard left the scene at around 3.55pm. The Lerwick Lifeboat was launched but was stood down.
