Man remanded on two assault charges

A THIRTY six year old man has been charged with two counts of assault.

Adam Nelson, whose address was given simply as Shetland, has also been charged with theft and threatening or abusive behaviour.

Nelson made no plea when he appeared from custody in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday.

He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody. He is due to appear at court again within the next eight days.
