Emergency services / Rescued dog cared for in police station
Update:
Temporary police dog Smudge successfully completed his first at Lerwick police station on Saturday morning and has now been collected by his very happy owner.
THE OWNER of a male Spaniel dog is asked to collect their pet from the police station in Lerwick as soon as possible after the animal had been rescued from the harbour.
Shetland Coastguard was called out last after the Spaniel had fallen into the water near Holmsgarth Pier where many of the tall ships currently visiting Lerwick are berthed.
Alternatively, police can be contacted by calling 101.
