THE KITCHEN Table café which operated out of Mackenzie’s Farm Shop in Cunningsburgh has made the “incredibly difficult decision” to cease trading from the building.

The Kitchen Table had rented the café space in Mackenzie’s since November 2021.

Owners Emma Williamson and Laura Farquhar said on social media last night (Tuesday): “The good news is that the Kitchen Table is going to continue and we are looking forward to future opportunities in events and catering.”

They said the decision was made in the “best interests of our business”.

The café previously said it had been unable to open recently due to staff shortages.

The post added: “We have had the most amazing time becoming the Kitchen Table.

“We have met some incredible people and worked with some fantastic local suppliers who we will continue to enjoy working with.”

They also thanked their “loyal and supportive” customers.

The Kitchen Table and Mackenzie’s have both been approached for comment.
