PASSENGERS on last night’s Aberdeen service were the first to be flown north by Swedish airline Braathens Regional.

The company has agreed to take on some of Loganair’s flights to and from Aberdeen while Loganair staff receive training on new ATR turboprops joining company’s fleet.

The Scottish airline is phasing out its Saab 340B workhorses and replacing them with larger and more fuel efficient aircraft.
