Business / Conochies Post Office temporarily closed
THE POST Office within Conochies in Lerwick is temporarily closed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
A Post Office spokesperson said: “We are working closely with the Postmaster and we are looking to restore service as soon as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure. In the interim the nearest branch is at Freefield Post Office.”
Postal services moved to newsagents Conochies last year after the the Post Office opposite the Royal Bank of Scotland closed.
UPDATE: Post Office Ltd has confirmed that the office reopened this morning (Friday 20 August).
