News / Weather causes ferry disruptions
SOUTH easterly gales have again forced NorthLink to make alterations to its overnight timetable.
The company said on Tuesday morning that its southbound ferry Hrossey, due to depart Lerwick for Aberdeen at 7pm, will stay in port until late evening to avoid the worst of the weather.
Check-in times will however remain unchanged with final passenger and vehicle check-in at 6.30pm.
The northbound Hjaltland is due to leave from Aberdeen as scheduled and is expected to arrive in Lerwick with just minor delays.
Meanwhile, the inter-island service across Bluemull Sound is likely to be suspended later today, while the Yell Sound service has been reduced to a single ferry operation.
