News / Accused of assaulting two men in Lerwick pub

A MAN was released on bail after appearing from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday accused of assaulting two men in the Douglas Arms pub in Lerwick at the weekend.

Jeffrey Goldsborough, 57, of Bankside Road, Newcastle, pleaded not guilty to punching one man on the head and punching the other on the head to his injury on Saturday.

Sheriff Ian Cruickshank ordered Goldsborough not to approach either of the complainers and not to enter the Douglas Arms on Commercial Road as part of his bail conditions.
