POLICE have been dealing with an early morning road traffic collision on the A970 in Quarff after snow hit the isles overnight.
There were no injuries in the two-vehicle incident, which was reported at around 7.25am on Wednesday.
Police said there were traffic tail backs in the area as a result of the collision, as well as poor road conditions.
Sumburgh Airport meanwhile was temporarily closed in the morning to allow its operations team to clear snow from the runway.
It re-opened at 9.15am, with the first arrival touching down at 9.25am.
