Letters / Government not wanted
I totally agree with George Galloway on Tuesday’s Jeremy Vine show; People in Scotland keep saying that we have a government at Westminster we did not want, however hundreds and thousands of people living in Scotland have a government at Holyrood they did not vote for or want, so why should the Yes voters think they have anymore right to try and convince us No voters?
And just two more points I would like to make; firstly what will happen to the postal service if Scotland goes independent?
There will be no Royal Mail as such. We all know already how difficult and expensive it is to get things here, and what’s more Scotland might suffer the same fate as us with ‘Sorry we do not post to Scotland’.
Secondly fuel prices: at the moment I can easily be paying 10 pence a liter less in Aberdeen than what I currently have to pay here. Further to this, do we still have refineries in Scotland or will we have to ship (our oil as Alex Salmond keeps telling us) down to England to only have it shipped back at probably a higher rate than we have to pay now?
