News / Whalsay incident
POLICE are looking for help from the public to get to the bottom of what they describe as a “suspicious incident” that is reported to have taken place outside Whalsay school.
A spokeswoman said a man wearing a light blue and grey striped jumper and grey/khaki chino style trousers was acting suspiciously near the school between 9 and 10pm on Monday evening.
No further details were given.
“It is known a football game had taken place at the football pitches close by the school that evening and a number of people may have been in the area,” the spokeswoman said.
Police can be contacted by dialing 101 or, anonymously, via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org
