A NEW company that specialises in domestic and small commercial renewable energy systems is holding its first open weekend in Lerwick this weekend.

Nordri Limited has just opened its new premises at the Staney Hill Industrial Estate, opposite the local mart.

The company is the accredited supplier for six kilowatt and 15kw Kingspan wind turbines, but also installs 4kw solar panel systems.

Managing director Brian Halcrow said he had detected a lot of interest in small renewables and was confident that people would respond to a local company providing local services.

“Going by the messages from suppliers and customers, interest in renewables has never been higher,” he said.

The team will be welcoming potential customers and anyone who just wants to find out more about domestic renewables this Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 4pm.
