News / Anderson High School consultation meeting
THE SHETLAND public will have a chance to find out more about the new Anderson High School project during a roadshow event at the Clickimin Leisure Centre, next week.
The project team behind the £42 million school and hall of residence will be available to discuss the plans for the new high school between 10am and 8pm on Thursday 22 August.
The event, part of the pre-planning application consultation, will take place in the Waterside Suite of the leisure complex.
The council’s director of children’s services Helen Budge encouraged people to comment on the proposals.
“The new Anderson High School is an exciting and important project for Shetland,” she said.
“It’s important that people have the opportunity to see the proposals and to feedback comments, and we hope that as many people as possible will be able to come along on the day.”
Anyone unable to attend the public event can view the proposals at Hayfield House, Hayfield Lane, in Lerwick.
Comments can also be made in writing to Helen Budge, Director of Children’s Services, Hayfield House, Hayfield Land, Lerwick, ZE1 0QD, or by emailing annie.nicolson@shetland.go.uk before 30 August 2013.
