News / Casino Feet wants your vote
LOCAL youth band Casino Feet are in with the chance to perform on the Young Scot Pathways To Music stage at the Creative Scotland awards, next month.
But in order for them to be able to perform at the Glasgow Kelvingrove Art Gallery, on 13 December, they need the public to vote for them at www.pathwaystomusicstage.com/entries/casino-feet.
Band member Zack Manson said: “We can’t believe that we are at the voting stage! When we got the reminder from Youth Services that the vote had gone live we were shocked as we had pretty much forgotten about the competition as it was some time ago that we submitted our demo track.
“This has probably been the best year Casino Feet have had. We’ve been working really hard on writing new material and have been recording an EP.
“I think as a band we can all agree that we’ve written some of our best songs this year. We would really appreciate and hope that the community will get behind us and do their best to help us get to the judging stage.”
Shetland Islands Council’s youth officer Martin Summers added: “The five acts which receive the most ‘favourites’ will then be put through to the expert judging panel who will have the job of listening to the five tracks and selecting the overall winner. The judges’ decision will be final.”
