Letters / Why change something that is not broken?
There is just one thing about the whole ferry tendering situation. Why change something that’s not broken, especially since any decrease in service will be with us for a long time?
We all know that freight is the lifeblood of our islands. We also need to be able to draw in tourists and new residents. But with all the controversy on shipping service, I know many people whose original choice to migrate here are now choosing to find settlement on mainland Scotland.
