News / Bailed for knife and threats
A YOUNG man from the Mossbank area was released on bail on Monday after spending the weekend in the cells after police were called to a house in Lerwick following a disturbance.
Twenty year old Darren McCran, of Sandside, Firth, pled guilty to possessing a knife in the Hoofields area.
He also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at a house in Hoofields, shouting and swearing, fighting with his partner, smashing a glass door pane and punching and kicking holes in internal walls.
The case was adjourned for reports and McCran was released on bail under the condition he is not drunk in a public place and provides a breath sample on request to police.
