News / Between Weather wants more local actors
MORE LOCAL actors are needed to participate in a feature film that could put Shetland on the international movie stage.
Director Jim Brown will be in Shetland this week to select the winning pub that will feature in Between Weathers, to be shot next spring.
Not only will he be followed by a Scottish Television film crew, but also finalising the next round of castings.
Last month, Mr Brown announced that three local actors, Ria Moncrieff, Dugald Gunn and James Mackenzie, had been selected to become part of the cast.
He said last night (Sunday): “In the past couple of weeks I have established a much clearer idea of what I need in terms of Shetland locations, and as ever I am looking forward to my trip.
“During my visit I will also be putting in place the procedure for the next Shetland casting session that will take place in the next few weeks.
“There’s room in the movie to cast many more locals than I imagined. It’ll be an opportunity of a lifetime for local actors of all ages and abilities!”
Anyone interested in getting involved should contact the production team via the project’s website at: http://www.betweenweathers.com/index.php/register-your-interest/
